Tien

A basic Chinese structure used for religious buildings which consists of a platform supporting a structural wooden framework of a least four columns and various support beams. This structure features roof trusses which are, upward-curving, high pitched,and clad with a tiled roof. The interior partitions are nonbearing screen walls.
